Heit's Point Lutheran Ministries, Inc. provides a year-round ministry setting for retreats, youth camps, adult gatherings, camping, outdoor education programs, weddings, family reunions, meetings, conferences, seminars, and so much more. For over 25 years Heit's Point has been a place of peace, a place where people can enjoy what the Lord has made. Our beautiful facilities overlooking Lake of the Ozarks are ready for your group or family to enjoy.

We offer facilities which can house and feed over 200 persons at a time, with housing in campground, cabin, bunkhouse, and hotel-style rooms.

Upon entering main retreat facility referred to as The Dr. Paul Spitz Center (Spitz Center), named after a former President of the Missouri District of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, guests are warmly welcomed by the presence of a life-sized painting of Christ standing in a wooded area.  An indoor waterfall, which carries through with the theme of the painting is located immediately below. The Spitz Center houses the Ministries' offices, 12 suite-style rooms, a chapel/ multi-purpose room which is capable of seating 175 guests, smaller meeting rooms, locker rooms and an indoor swimming pool, in addition to a modern dining room which can serve approximately 200, with delicious meals served buffet style.

Guestrooms are maintained with a queen-sized bed, queen sofa sleeper, linen and towel service, full bathroom with tub and shower, and a balcony or patio view of the woods and lake.  One room is equipped as a handicap-accessible room. All public meeting rooms, chapel, dining room, restrooms are also handicap-accessible, with an elevator serving all three building levels.

The Living Waters room has bunk accommodations for 6 people, and the Dayspring room serves as a small meeting room and overflow room for bigger groups.  The Spitz Center also has a full guest laundry and vending area.

Four Bunk rooms on the lower floor of the Spitz Center will accommodate up to six people.

The Campground is a beautifully shaded wooded area with 15 modern hook-up sites offering electricity, water, and sewer, level pads for motor homes or campers, and a separate grassy area for tenting.  In the center of the campground is the Ascension Haus, a pavilion that can host up to 100 for picnics, with a full kitchen and storage area and lights for the night use.  This pavilion is often used for movies, reunions, and picnics in the summer season.  Each campsite is supplied with one 20 amp / 110 volt circuit.

The Blunk Bunkhouse, Gospel Hostel Bunkhouse, and Bell House are built to accommodate groups up to 60 persons (Blunk), 48 persons (Gospel Hostel),  and 24 persons (Bell House) with  quad- style rooms in each and centralized baths .  Each room has bunk space for 12-16, showers, toilets, sinks, private dressing areas, heat and air-conditioning.  Within the center of the Blunkhouse and Gospel Hostel is a common area suitable for a variety of different activities and relaxation.  The Blunkhouse and Gospel Hostel can be rented in its entirety or divided by quads to accommodate more than one group.

The Cabin Area provides 2 rustic and functional log cabins that can house 10-15 campers in air-conditioned bunks.  Through the support of our volunteers, stairs and an observation deck has been built to connect the cabin / bunk house area to the beach and lakefront.  The Cabin area also have a playground for the kids with a gazebo with a magnificent view.

The Rock House is a special secluded house on the north section of Heit's Point's 180-acre tract.  It is set aside for couples and families to use for quiet retreats, and overlooks the lake from a beautiful bluff.  With a master bedroom with a queen size bed and full bath, a living room with gas fireplace and two studio couches, a sun porch, and a full kitchen, visitors may be self-sufficient, or may come to use meal services, pool, and other facilities the rest of the camp offers.  This facility is especially designed to allow clergy and other called workers a retreat spot for rest and renewal in Christ.

Heit's Point's beautiful lakefront offers a boat ramp for launching your boat, a boathouse that offers canoes, rowboats, paddleboats, and a pontoon boat.  The dock for swimming with a slide on it, and the beach with its panoramic view of the lake has a campfire ring for evening campfires.  With the nearby connection to the main channel of the Lake of the Ozarks, hundreds of miles of lake and lakeshore are available to boaters.

The Outdoor Chapel is a unique worship setting, with roof and ceilings donated from an area church that was undergoing renovation.  It will seat approximately 50-75,  and is open for use by groups, camp sessions, and for individual meditation.  In the summer, Sunday meditations and worship services are held in that chapel by visiting groups.  Everyday, this chapel is the house of the Lord and gives of itself as a focal point to the entire campus.  Through the stain glass above its altar is a beautiful view of our quiet cove of the Lake of the Ozarks.  This view is a constant reminder of the still waters that our Lord will lead us to in David's 23 Psalm.  The blessings of the Lord as displayed in His creation are all around you as you visit Heit's Point. my advertising background in learning never to use "etc." in copy

The Athletic Field area has an open field for softball and other group games plus an equipment shed full of necessary supplies.  A sand volleyball court and horseshoe pits are nearby.  A small basketball court is found near the cabin area.

Hiking and Prayer Trails cover over 2 miles of the property, providing quiet wooded settings for meditation and excellent opportunities for nature studies.  School groups often choose Heit's Point for resident or day trip outdoor education, either led by their staff or the Servant-Leader staff.

You can call Heather at 660-668-2363 for a complete list of accommodations.  She will be happy to help you and your group.
